BiobankCloud is an EU-funded FP7 project t … BiobankCloud is an EU-funded FP7 project that will develop a cloud-computing platform as a service (PaaS) for the storage, analysis and inter-connection of biobank data. Our platform will provide security, storage, data-intensive computing tools, bioinformatics workflows, and support for allowing biobanks to share data with one another, all within the existing regulatory frameworks for the storage and usage of biobank data. In this poster we will present key ideas of BiobankCloud and how they relate with each other to compose a scalable, secure storage and analysis solution for NGS data from biobanked samples. Additionally, we will provide examples of bioinformatics workflows that can benefit from this platform. flows that can benefit from this platform.
