Abstract: In 2005, a forward-thinking panel dared to predict the future of information assurance to help us better plan for it. Almost three years later, we assembled another fearless group of distinguished information assurance experts to give us insight into where they see our exciting field headed. Our panel gives insights into how the threat’s evolving nature, the current information technology environment, and various market forces are combining to yield new security challenges and likely new technology paths for the future. I asked the panel some of the most provocative and difficult questions I could conjure, and they met the challenge admirably.
